Cardamom Green Large

Cardamom Green Large is a fragrant whole spice valued for its sweet, fresh and slightly citrusy aroma. The whole green pods contain aromatic seeds that release their flavor when lightly crushed or used directly in cooking.

In Bangladesh, green cardamom is commonly used in biryani, pulao, korma, meat dishes, milk tea and desserts. It is also popular in Middle Eastern coffee and spiced beverages. Whole cardamom is useful when you want a more noticeable aroma and the flexibility to use the pods whole or open them to release the seeds.

For best results, add whole cardamom during cooking so its aroma can infuse into rice, curries or beverages. Lightly crushing the pod can release more of its natural fragrance.
